I just realized that I am addicted to books. I will refuse to watch a movie before I’ve read the book it’s based on. I find it hard to focus [work, people, tv, sightseeing, whatever] if I have an unfinished book with me. I feel like somethings missing if I haven’t got a book to read on the train or at night. I’d rather live without nicotine than without books. I’ve read eight books since I left Norway. That was four weeks ago. I love the smell of old books and libraries. I love reading. It’s my heroine, my escape from life.

I need to find an English bookshop soon.
